Athletics PEI has received 2009 Canada Games Legacy Funding to purchase new photo-timing equipment. This funding enables us to host more local track and field competitions during the outdoor season. Without this crucial funding, this purchase would not have been possible, and we would like to extend our gratitude to the 2009 Canada Games Legacy Fund. In just a few short weeks, the Athletics PEI Provincials & Legion Trials will take place at UPEI Canada Games Alumni Place & MacAdam Field, where the equipment will be used to showcase the best track and field athletes on Prince Edward Island. This new equipment also allows us to provide local opportunities for officials that were previously unavailable. Their development will allow us to increase the credibility of our competitions and attract new officials. We want to thank the 2009 Canada Games Legacy Fund once again for this funding towards officiating development in our province.
All Athletics PEI records U16 and up have been updated as of April 1, 2026.
