We just landed back in PEI after another unforgettable Canada Games, and we are filled with gratitude for this experience.
Here’s what PEI Track & Field accomplished in Newfoundland: 12 Provincial Records: 8 overall, and 4 additional Provincial Age-Group Records. 26 top 16 Finishes, and 9 Top 10 finishes (both our most ever). 23 new personal bests. 721 points on the men’s side (most we ever had), and 541 on the women’s side (second most we ever had). 1,262 total points — a new PEI Athletics Canada Games record! None of this would have been possible without the incredible support behind the scenes. Thank you to our dedicated coaches, tireless volunteers, amazing mission staff, and everyone else who helped along the way. We’re also grateful to the province of Newfoundland for being such generous and welcoming hosts. This was truly a Games to remember, and we can’t wait to keep building on this momentum!

What a week for our Prince Edward Island Legion track and field team!
During the 2025 Legion National Youth Track and Field Championship, our team set a combined total of two provincial records, four U18 provincial records, and nine personal bests! Leading the way was Men’s team MVP Charlie Steele, who ran to a new provincial record in the 110m hurdles and ran two strong legs on the men’s U18 4x100m and 4x400m teams. Both men’s relay teams ran to new U18 provincial records! On the women’s side, team MVP Francis Manning set a new provincial record in the 100m hurdles and jumped to an all-conditions personal best in long jump! The top placements at the 2025 Legion Nationals included three top-10 finishes by Aidan Campbell (U16 Men’s High Jump), Marc Chapman (U18 Men’s Javelin), Charlie Steele (U18 Long Jump) and Hannah Kwok (U16 Women’s Pole Vault).
